Managing your target count
As your scanning needs evolve, you may need to adjust the number of active targets allowed on your Catcher24
organization. Upgrading allows you to add more web applications or infrastructure devices, while downgrading reduces
your capacity and lowers your billing rate.
Follow the steps below to modify your target count and update your subscription.
Please pay any outstanding invoices before making changes to your target count/subscriptions. This prevents processing
errors in the dashboard/billing.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Access Your Subscription Settings From your Catcher24 dashboard, navigate to your Organization Settings and click on
the Billing or Subscription tab to view the "Manage your subscription" page.
2. Adjust Your Target Count Locate the Manage Packages section on the left side of the screen. Here, you will see a
slider indicating your current number of targets (e.g., Web application targets).
1. Move the slider to the right to increase your target count.
2. Move the slider to the left to decrease your target count.
3. Review the Pricing Breakdown (Optional) As you adjust the slider, the price at the top of the card will update
automatically. You can click the + View Pricing Breakdown button to see exactly how your new target count impacts
your total cost.
4. Review the Order Summary Look at the Order Summary section on the right side of your screen. This area will
highlight the changes detected based on your slider adjustments and display the updated pricing summary.
5. Step 5: Accept Terms and Update Before finalizing the change, you must check the boxes to reaffirm both the terms
and conditions and the data processing agreement. Once checked, click the orange Update Subscription button.
Your subscription limits will be updated immediately, and your billing will be prorated or adjusted for the next cycle
based on your changes.
Additional subscription options
From this same page, you can also manage other aspects of your billing:
- Add Infrastructure Devices: Click the + Add Infrastructure Device button under your packages to expand your scanning
capabilities beyond standard web applications.
- Change Billing Cycle: Use the Billing Cycle section to switch between monthly and yearly billing. Switching to
yearly billing often includes a built-in discount.
- Update Payment Details: In the Billing & Payment Details section, you can update your billing address or add a new
saved credit card for future invoices.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
Why can't I decrease my target count below my current usage? If you are currently using 5 out of 5 targets, you cannot
downgrade your package to 4 targets until you delete or deactivate one of your active targets. Navigate to your Targets
list, remove the necessary targets, and then return to this page to adjust your subscription downwards.
Why is the Update Subscription button greyed out? The update button will remain disabled until you make a change to your
package or billing cycle, and successfully check both the "terms and conditions" and "data processing agreement" boxes
in the Order Summary.
I don't see the subscription page. Only Organization Admins or the Account Owner have permission to view and modify
subscription details. If you need more targets, please contact your administrator.
